Shape-Shifting Octopus Proves Possibilities But only if we stop staring at the dot.

Have you seen the octopus that becomes a bush?

Actually, it becomes anything it wants by changing its coloring to match its surroundings completely.

It does this so well that it is impossible to see, even for the sharp-eyed predator looking for it. It does this shape-shifting in 7/10ths of a second.

Perhaps, like me, you have often thought about how wonderful it would be to be a shape-shifter. Or perhaps you have dreamed about being in two or more places at once or have imagined traveling like a beam of light with no need for alternative transportation.

Fantasy?

Is this all fantasy? We would say yes, wouldn’t we? Except there is the octopus, as one example, that proves otherwise.

There are many more examples. Let’s take a quick peek at the stars.

The Milky Way is the largest galaxy in the world, containing over 300 billion stars and 50 billion planets. Of these 50 billion planets, over 500 million have the right climate for life (as we perceive it—and we all know how limited our perceptions can be).

That is just in our galaxy. It’s estimated that there are over 100 billion galaxies.
